The Espersen Foundation is an educational, health nonprofit Organisation.
We are on the mission to support education, development, health and culture Projects on the ground in Ghana.We see a clear connection between human rights and development and the opportunity for individuals to realize themselves and their dreams.

Our story
The Espersen
The Espersen Foundation was established on May 15, 2013, by Bibbi Espersen Landtblom and Nina Landtblom to honor the memory of Inge and Jörgen Espersen, using funds from their inheritance.
The foundation initially focused on distributing school uniforms on a modest scale in northern Ghana, the birthplace of Nina’s husband, Abdul Latif Yassin. For many years, the inheritance funds sustained these efforts. However, as the need for school uniforms and educational supplies grew among an increasing number of schools and children, the resources became insufficient.
In 2016, the board made the pivotal decision to seek support from friends and the broader public, enabling the foundation to expand its reach and provide sustainable aid to schools and surrounding communities.
Our mission is rooted in fostering self-reliance by empowering individuals to exercise and benefit from their human rights.
Local partner In Ghana
On December 14, 2016, the foundation’s sister organisation was established in Tamale in northern Ghana.
The organizations main focus is to contribute to reducing child labor.
The sister Organisation helps to swe the school uniforms and to distribute to them to the schools
The board consists of Idrissu al Hafiz, Salamatu Mahazu, Issifu Basideen and Dorcas Ama Gyabi.
Goals and values
The foundation’s vision is a world where everyone has the opportunity to have control over their lives and where people can enjoy their human rights; such as the opportunity to get an education, to be healthy, to always have food for the day and to have the opportunity to develop on one’s own terms.
Our goal is to achieve this by supporting education, sustainable development, health and culture in Ghana and eventually also in other countries in Africa.
We envision to growth as a foundation and to partner up with more local partners to support Upcoming projects such as:
1. To distribute Menstrual Cups to Female Pupils to enabling them to attend School through out the whole year.
